Steve Stout Interviews Pharrell

This video (which is part 2 of a 3 part video interview), stems from The Tanning Effect series w/ Steve Stout. In this one, Pharrell talks about how he gave the records he made for Michael Jackson to Justin Timberlake in the process of collaborating on his “Justified” album. During this session, he not only receives a phone call by the man himself, but in a later meeting with the king of pop, Michael sings those same exact songs to him and tells him “You should’ve gave those songs to me”.

Man, how dope is that?

To get praise and love from the king or anyone of that caliber is every musicians dream. Well for me at least. All I I know is that if I ever made a hit and got a call from Michael, I don’t care how many awards I’d receive, or how many number ones were on the charts, or how much money I’d make, nothing can touch that. That’s when I’d know that I made it. Real shit. Nah mean?
